Saptarishi Processes

Saptarishi’s learning process relies heavily on play and art. Play, we believe, is the fuel which gears ahead a child’s development trajectory in a way best aligned to their natural instincts. Based on the foundation of natural curiosity, play assists children to master their gross and fine motor skills, activates their skills of imagination and helps in development of cognitive, emotional and social intelligences, all of which will help them lead a successful life as a child and later as an adult. Saptarishi’s learning process looks at play as a spectrum ranging from Free Play to Guided Play.

Free Play

  • No Guidance or Support
  • Supports social development and emotional learning
  • Open ended and child led
  • Child sets the tone for the play and also leads the play within a context

Guided Play

  • Includes structured adult guidance while keeping the playfulness of the activity intact
  • Supports academic type of learning
  • Centered around a learning objective or goal
  • Adult sets the context of learning but child has the freedom to direct the play within that context
